How Much Does College Cost?
01.Tuition and Living Expenses
College is a big investment because it costs money! The price of classes is called tuition. Students also need to pay for books, computers, housing (dorms or apartments), and food. This total cost is called the Cost of Attendance.
02.Public vs. Private
State-run public universities are generally cheaper for residents of that state. Private universities can be much more expensive, but they often offer lots of financial aid. Community colleges are the most affordable option for the first two years of study.
03.Planning Early Saves Big
Because college costs are rising, planning ahead is super important. Families who start saving when their kids are young don't have to borrow as much money later, saving them thousands of dollars in interest!
