The Compounding Snowball

01.Rolling Down the Hill

Imagine rolling a tiny snowball down a snow-covered hill. At first, it stays small. But as it rolls, it picks up snow. The bigger it gets, the more surface area it has, so it picks up even more snow! By the time it reaches the bottom of the hill, it's a giant boulder. That is compound interest.

02.Exponential Growth

In math, this is called exponential growth. Instead of growing in a straight line, it curves upward like a rocket ship. In the later years, the amount of money you earn from interest will be much larger than the money you originally put in!

03.Patience Pays Off

The trick to the snowball is that you can't touch it while it rolls. If you take snow off the ball, it stops growing. You have to leave your savings alone and let the magic of compounding do the work for you.
