What Sets Us Apart What Sets Us Apart Who We Are Litigation We are a group of creative and entrepreneurial attorneys who strive to find efficient, outside-the-box solutions for our clients. We combine our large law firm experience representing Fortune 100 corporations as well as our experience representing individuals and start-ups to provide legal services that make business sense. In some instances, we offer flexible fee arrangements for clients who may not be able to incur the high costs traditionally associated with complex lawsuits. We strive to find creative solutions such as contingent fee, blended fee, flat fee, and other fee solutions. This aligns the firm’s interests with those of the client by sharing in the risks and rewards. Our attorneys are experienced in all forms of business litigation. We recognize that a no-costs-spared approach doesn’t always make sense in legal matters. We have the necessary expertise in defending against and pursuing complex claims to find the best business solution for the client. We also represent companies and inventors before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in patent and trademark prosecution as well as administrative proceedings. Furthermore, we assist clients in pursuing copyright protection before the United States Copyright Office. We help maximize the value of our clients’ intellectual property in all possible areas. General Business Counsel Given that small businesses often do not have the means for an in-house general counsel, we often act as an outside general counsel to assist with all business and legal issues that may arise. Our attorneys represent companies in all fields such as health care, technology startups, real estate and finance. We offer flat fee billing where appropriate so small businesses can better manage their expenses. Technology Transfers We understand that not everyone wishes to monetize their intellectual property through litigation. We provide valuation and brokering services for patent and trademark holders who wish to license or sell their intellectual property. We work with numerous private and public investors to facilitate the purchase of intellectual property. Timothy Wang
• Tim Wang is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses his practice on IP litigation (both district court and ITC litigation) and complex commercial disputes in cases involving patent, trademark, or copyright.
Neal Massand
• Mr. Massand is an experienced intellectual property attorney, commercial litigator and registered patent attorney. He concentrates his practice on patent litigation and patent prosecution.
Steve Moore
• Mr. Moore’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and licensing. Mr. Moore has been named by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2015.
Tong Jin
• Mr. Jin is an experienced litigator. Before joining Ni, Wang & Massand, he worked for two boutique law firms in Houston and represented clients in dozens of civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts, and federal agencies.
Nicholas E. Najera
• Mr. Najera focuses his practice on patent litigation and patent prosecution. Additionally, he advises clients on all intellectual property matters, including copyrights and trademarks. During law school, he externed at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Waco Division, and participated in the Baylor Law Intellectual Property Clinic with limited recognition to practice before the USPTO.
